Applying the Concepts
On the exam, most data governance questions are scenario-based. You will be given a situation, such as a duplicate patient record, a missing data field, or a data breach involving an outdated retention policy, and asked to identify the underlying governance failure or the best corrective action.
- Read the scenario carefully to identify which governance concept is being tested.
- Match the scenario to the correct role, policy element, or quality dimension.
- Select the answer that reflects a proactive governance solution, not just a reactive fix.
Study Strategy
Create flashcards for the ten data quality dimensions and the four core governance roles, since these appear repeatedly across different question formats. Practice applying these concepts to varied clinical, financial, and administrative scenarios to build flexible recall for exam day.
